Emerging technology creates a familiar temptation: start with the technology.
A new capability appears. Leaders see its potential. Teams begin experimenting. Pilots are launched. The organization starts talking about adoption.
But experimentation is not capability.
Curiosity is easy. Capability is harder.
An organization can be highly curious about AI, automation, blockchain, IoT, or another emerging technology and still be poorly prepared to create value from it.
Capability requires more than awareness. It requires people, processes, governance, data, leadership support, and a repeatable way to move from experimentation to execution.
